Custom websites for small businesses.

Govan Tech designs and builds each website from the ground up. When it's finished, the files and the domain belong to you.

Websites

Websites designed for mobile first.

More than half of all web traffic now comes from phones, and Google ranks sites based on their mobile version. A desktop page shrunk onto a small screen is hard to read and easy to leave.

We design the mobile layout first, then adapt it for tablets and desktops, so the page rearranges to fit each screen instead of shrinking.

Sample site on a monitor

Up front

The important details come first.

Many visitors never scroll past the first screen. We put your business name, services, hours, and a call button where they see them right away.

Sample phone screen for Bloom and Branch. The business name, services, hours, and a call button all fit on the first screen.

Speed

Pages that load fast.

A slow page shows a blank screen, then shifts around as the images arrive. We keep pages lightweight so the content appears quickly and stays in place.

Two sample phones load the same page. The slow one shows a spinner, then text, then images that push the text down. The fast one shows the finished page almost right away.

Search

Easy to find in search.

When someone searches for what you do, your listing should show your hours, phone number, website, and directions. We set up the basics search engines look for and can help you set up your Google Business Profile.

Readability

Text that is easy to read.

Small, faint text and crowded buttons make people give up. We use readable type sizes and strong contrast, with enough room to tap.

The same sample coffee shop page shown two ways: with small, faint text over a photo, and with large, high-contrast text and a clear button.

Contact

One tap to call, get directions, or send a message.

Customers on a phone should not have to copy a number or look up an address. Each button opens the phone's dialer, maps app, or messages, with your details already filled in.

How it works

Four steps from the first conversation to launch.

  1. We talk about your business

Tell us what your business does and what you want the site to do. We'll recommend the pages you need and send a quote.

  2. We build a draft

We design and build a working version of the site with your information and photos, then share it with you for review.

  3. You review and request changes

Look the draft over on your phone and computer and tell us what to change. We make the revisions before anything goes live.

  4. The site goes live

We publish the site on your domain and check that the pages, the call button, and the contact form all work.

After launch

What happens once the site is live.

  • Hosting is optional

We can host the site for you, or you can host it yourself or with another provider.

  • Updates when you need them

When your hours, services, or photos change, send us the details and we'll update the site.

  • No required marketing contract

There is no required marketing contract and no monthly package.

  • The files and domain stay yours

The domain stays registered in your name, and the website files are yours to keep.

Software

Custom software for your business.

Govan Tech builds custom apps for job tracking, scheduling, parts inventory, dispatch, quotes, and customer job status. If your business runs on spreadsheets and group texts, we can replace them with a system built around how you work. You receive the full source code, and we can host it or hand it off. AI features are added only where they save time.

Discuss a software project

Sample applications. Each project is built around your existing workflow.

In the shop

Track jobs, quotes, and parts in one system instead of spreadsheets and text threads.

Scheduling and dispatch

Manage service bay bookings, or see where every technician is from a single call sheet.

Customer access

Customers can book appointments and check the status of a job online without calling the shop.

On-site in Central Texas

On-site computer repair, wifi, and security cameras.

Hardware Computer repair On-site service for desktops, laptops, and printers, including slow computers, startup failures, printing problems, malware removal, and failing hard drives. Schedule a repair

Security Security cameras with phone access We install and position security cameras and configure them for viewing from your phone. Recordings are stored on your property. We do not offer 24-hour monitoring. Request a camera quote

FAQ

Common questions

How much does a website cost?

Each project is quoted individually. A standard business website is a one-time project, with no monthly package required. Send us the details and we'll provide a price.

How long does a website take?

A standard site typically takes a few weeks once we receive your photos and list of pages. The timeline depends on when that content arrives.

Do I have to be in Texas?

No. Website and software projects can be completed remotely, including for clients outside Texas. Computer repair, wifi, and camera work is done on-site in the Kosse area and Central Texas.

What do I actually get?

You receive the website files, and the domain is registered in your name. Your site is never locked into a platform we control. Hosting is available as an optional add-on.

Can you take over a site I already have?

Often, yes. Send us the domain and the current login. If rebuilding would cost less, we'll let you know before any work begins.

Can you put AI on the website or in an app?

Yes. We can add a chatbot to your website or an assistant to a custom app, using an AI model suited to the task.

Do I have to pay every month?

No. Hosting is optional, and there is no required marketing contract.

I don't know what to ask for.

That's fine. Tell us about your business, and we'll recommend what your website should include, or whether a repair visit makes more sense.
